Dr. Francis Chou has over twenty two years of executive and technical experience with Bell Atlantic (Verizon), RCA Communications, Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), Champion Technology and Pacific Century Cyberworks (PCCW). Dr. Chou Special Advisor to the Group Managing Director/Deputy Chairman of Pacific Century Cyberworks (Hong Kong). He provided strategic advice on matters relating to global infrastructure, connectivity and content delivery. He was also responsible for global alliance and new business development and implementation. Prior to his engagement with PCCW, Dr. Chou was the Chief Strategist with Champion Technology (Hong Kong) and later became its interim CEO responsible for corporate restructuring and new business development. In Bellcore, he was an Executive Director for Global Strategic Alliance responsible for formulating and executing major country entry programs to migrate core business from dependency on domestic Bell companies to a global business focus. Dr. Chou also consults with the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on market/regulatory reform and service pricing matters and has conducted seminars in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Dr. Chou received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from McGill University and his Master of Business Administration in International Marketing from the University of British Columbia, Canada; his Master of Science in Technical Management/Strategic Planning (Magna Cum Laude) from the National Technological University, and his Ph.D from LsSalle University, USA. He resides in the United States and has spent extensive time overseas particularly in Western Europe and Asia Pacific. He is an Associate with Tomlinson Global Access Partners responsible for developments in China and North America. |
